Tuesday, 23 February, 2010
In an article published in Tribune Magazine, Glyn Ford, former Labour MEP and member of the Parliamentarians Network for Conflict Prevention and Human Security, discusses the failure of the Copenhagen Climate talks and China’s role in the climate change debate.

Mr. Ford asserts that understanding the position of China and the rest of the emerging industrial nations is a prerequisite to reaching a global agreement on the reduction of greenhouse gases. He proposes that while global warming is bad for the planet, it is not equally bad for all countries. According to Mr. Ford, for China, Russia and Canada, climate change is not entirely negative.
