Dr. Nikola Lazic MP

Dr. Nikola Lazic, dentist by the profession, has been a Member of Parliament since 2004. He served one mandate in Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro, where he deputy-chaired Committee for Foreign Affairs, and was member of the S/M Delegation to OSCE PA.

Afterwards, he got elected to the Serbian National Parliament. He currently serves on the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee and Committee for Interethnic Relations and is member of the Serbian Delegation to NATO PA. He is a Chair of Parliamentary group for Relations with Spain. He has been the head of Foreign Affairs Committee of his political party, DSS.

Formerly, he was a member of the Belgrade City Assembly, and was vice-chair of the Novi Beograd Municipal Council.
 

Mr. Jo Leinen MEP

Mr. Leinen has been a member of the European Parliament for the Socialist Group since 1999. He is chairman of the EP`s constitutional affairs committee and substitute member of the Committee for Foreign Affairs. Furthermore he is a member of the delegation for the relations with South Asia and of the delegation for relations with India. From 1985-1994 he was Minister for environment in the German state of Saarland.

Krzysztof Lisek

Krzysztof Lisek was elected as a Member of the European Parliament for Poland in June 2009, as a candidate of Platforma Obywatelska RP (Civic Platform).

He is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, in which he holds the position of Vice-chairman of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence. He is also a member of the Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee and a substitute member of the Committee on Development.

From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Lisek was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Polish Parliament (Sejm), and from 2007-2009, he was the Chairman of this body. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Association of European Parliamentarians for Africa (AWEPA).

Scott Ludlam is an Australian Greens Senator for Western Australia. He was elected in the November 2007 federal election. A peace and environmental activist, Senator Ludlam has worked for a nuclear-free Australia and nuclear-free world. His work has spanned issues as diverse as preventing uranium mining at Jabiluka and Western Australia, Aboriginal land rights, peace, military bases, climate change, trade, globalisation, and energy market reform. Senator Ludlam’s portfolio responsibilities include Broadband, Communications & the Digital Economy; Housing; Human Heritage; Local Government; Mining; Nuclear; Public Transport; Sustainable Cities.

Ms. Ulrike Lunacek MEP

Ulrike Lunacek is currently a Member of the European Parliament. In this position she is member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Spokesperson of the Greens/ EFA on Foreign Affairs, Rapporteur for Kosovo, Member of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence, Member of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia and Co-President of the LGBT Intergroup of the European Parliament. Furthermore she is Vice-Chair of the Green Parliamentary Group in Austria.

Ms. Lunacek studied English-Spanish-German for the interpreter's degree at the University of Innsbruck, where she graduated with Maga. Phil. (B.A.) in 1983. Between 1983 and 1995 she gathered professional experience as interpreter, journalist and project coordinator in NGO's on development cooperation, feminist and LGBT policies. From 1996-1998 she was Secretary General of the Austrian Greens, became Member of the Austrian Parliament in 1999, and from 2006 till 2009 was Co-Chair of the European Green Party.
