Ms. Kinga Gál MEP
Kinga Gál is a Hungarian politician, member of the European Parliament and part of the European People’s Party. Ms. Gál is Vice-Chairwomen of the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and member of the Subcommittee on Human Rights and of the Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. Before becoming an MEP, she has been Chief adviser to the President, Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Vice-Chair of the Government Office for Hungarian Minorities Abroad.
Mr. Charles Goerens, MEP
Charles Goerens joined the Luxembourg Democratic Party in 1979 and served as its Chairman from 1989 to 1994.
Ms. Ana Maria Gomes MEP
Ms Gomes is a Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and member Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, the National Executive and Political Executive of the PS (Socialist Party) (since 2002), the PS National Secretariat and Secretary for International Relations (2003-2004), and of the Portuguese branch of Amnesty International. Ms. Gomes is also the Vicechair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parliament.
Prof. Dr. Barry Austin Goodfield, PhD., DABFM
Dr. Goodfield is Founding Director of The Goodfield Institute LLC, located in The Hague and the United States. In 1996 he became President & CEO of The Goodfield Foundation: for the Study of Conflict Communication and Peace Building.
He is currently a Senior Professor at Henley-Putnam University instructing doctoral level students from the intelligence, and counterterrorism community. He is an international lecture, author and noted radio and television personality. While a visiting Professor at the Diplomatic Academy of London he wrote the book Insight and Action: The role of the Unconscious in crisis from the personal to international levels University of Westminster Press, London 1999.
Various international bodies such as the United Nations (ICTY) and NATO H.Q. Brussels, as well as governments such as the former Soviet Union, The Netherlands, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Sultanate of Oman, Ukraine and Austrian Government have utilized the services and methodology of the Foundation.
For five years Dr. Goodfield was a protégé to semantics expert and United States Senator S. I. Hayakawa. He completed his Ph.D. in Psychology and Human Behavior at United States International University, with prior doctoral study at University of California Berkeley and Rutgers University.
H.E. Ghulam Hassan Gran
Mr. Gran graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Canyon College in the United States. Between 1989 and 1995, he held three key posts within the Interior Ministry of Afghanistan: Liason and Legal Officer to the Deputy Interior Minister, Deputy to the General Director of the Personnel Department, and General Director for the Deputy Interior Minister’s Office. In 1999, Mr. Gran was employed by the International Committee of the Red Cross as a Legal Advisor and held that position until 2004. From 2004 to 2006, His Excellency was the General Director for Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs within the National Assembly of Afghanistan. Finally, Mr. Gran was the Secretary General of the Wolesi Jirga from 2006 to late 2011.
Mr. Gran has been responsible for drafting key pieces of legislation, has published several articles, and has been awarded both the Ghazi Mir Masjadi Khan National Medal and Merit Letter for good parliamentary service by the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Mr. Azay Guliyev MP
Mr. Guliyev is a twice-elected member of the Azerbaijan National Parliament, where he has served since 2005. In the Parliament, he is a member of the Permanent Committee on State Building and Legislative Policy and the following inter-parliamentary working groups: Azerbaijan-Czech Republic, Azerbaijan-Estonia, and Azerbaijan-Turkey. Additionally, he is the Head of the Task Group on Azerbaijan-Romania inter-parliamentary relations.
In the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Mr. Guliyev serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Social Issues, Education and Civil Society of the Euronest. He is also a member of the Delegation of Azerbaijan in the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE.
Since 2008, Mr. Guliyev has been the Chairman of the Council on State Support to NGOs, under the auspices of the President of Azerbaijan. He also currently serves as a member of the Pardoning Commission, the Council on Entrepreneurs, the Supervisory Board of the Fund on Social Development of Internally Displaced People, and the State Commission working with Hostages, Missing Persons and War Prisoners.
Before becoming a parliamentarian, Mr. Guliyev worked as the Assistant to the Chancellor of the Azerbaijan Social Management and Political Sciences Institute and acted as a Civil Society expert for GTZ. He also served as a president of the Forum of National NGOs for 10 years. He holds a degree from the Faculty of History, Baku State University. Mr. Guliyev is married with three children.
