Strengthening Global Peace and Security for Development: The Role of Regional International Organizations and Civil Society
The International Conference on “Strengthening Global Peace and Security for Development: The Role of Regional International Organizations and Civil Society” took place in Madrid on November 15-16. This event was organized by the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and the Organization of American States (OAS), in collaboration with Secretaria General Iberoamericana (SEGIB) .
The conference brought together high-level representatives from regional organizations such as the African Union (AU) and the League of Arab States, civil society, and the private sector to share experiences, foster “collective memory,” exchange best practices and develop a new paradigm for confronting threats to global peace and security.
