Following their March 25‐26, 2009 meeting, the Parliamentarians Network agreed to focus on the issue of water security as a means to increase international cooperation.
As a first response to this decision and to contribute to bettering international coordination on water, the EastWest Institute’s Preventive Diplomacy Initiatives launched a policy dialogue series called Alternative Futures for Afghanistan and the Stability of Southwest Asia: Improving Regional Cooperation on Water.
