Mr. Didier Burkhalter MP

Mr. Burkhalter is a Swiss politician of the Freisinnig-Demokratische Partei Schweiz (FDP/PRD) from the Canton of Neuchâtel and member of the Council of States since 2007. Previously a member of the parliament of the Canton of Neuchâtel from 1990 to 2001 and a member of the government of the city of Neuchâtel from 1991 to 2005, Mr. Burkhalter was a member of the Swiss National Council from 2003 to 2007. On 11 November 2007, he was elected to the Council of States, along with Socialist Party candidate Gisèle Ory, who was re-elected for a second term.

Ms. Eichenberger-Walther is a Swiss politician from the Freisinnig-Demokratische Partei Schweiz (FDP). A lawyer by training Ms. Eichenberger-Walther was an active member in the legislature of the canton of Aargau from 1993-2007 and from 2005-2006 was President of the Advisory Committee.

Ms. Fiala-Goldiger is a Swiss politician from the Freisinnig-Demokratische Partei Schweiz (FDP). She holds degrees in commerce and public relations. From 2000 to 2007 Ms. Fiala-Goldiger was a member of the local council of the city of Zurich. In April 2004, she became president of the FDP for the canton of Zurich and in 2007 was nominated to the Federal Assembly. She is a member of the Commission on Science, Education and Culture.

Mr. Malama is a Swiss politician from the Freisinnig-Demokratische Partei Schweiz (FDP). From 1989 to 2001 he worked primarily in the private sector. In 2001 he became the Director of the Basel Trade & Crafts Association. His political career began in 1982 when he entered the Basel city branch of the FDP, of which he is still a member. Since 2005 he has been a member of the Great Council of Basel-Stadt.
