Ms. Malahat Ibrahimqizi MP

Ms. Ibrahimgizi has been a member of the Azerbaijan Parliament since 2000. Thrice re-elected, she is a member of the National Delegation to NATO and Euronest and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Countries.

Ms. Ibrahimgizi is a leader in gender issues in Azerbaijan: she is currently the Co-chairman of the National Confederation of Azerbaijani Women and is an Honorary member of the Owner Women Council. In 2000, she founded the NGO, Leader Women Social Union, which focuses on equal rights and opportunities for women. From 1998 until 2000, she was the 1st Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Women’s Issues. From 1994 to 2000, Ms. Ibrahimgizi was Chairman of “Sevil” Women’s Assembly and was Chairman of the Council on Women, 1989 until 1991.

Mr. Azay Guliyev MP

Mr. Guliyev is a twice-elected member of the Azerbaijan National Parliament, where he has served since 2005. In the Parliament, he is a member of the Permanent Committee on State Building and Legislative Policy and the following inter-parliamentary working groups: Azerbaijan-Czech Republic, Azerbaijan-Estonia, and Azerbaijan-Turkey. Additionally, he is the Head of the Task Group on Azerbaijan-Romania inter-parliamentary relations.

In the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Mr. Guliyev serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Social Issues, Education and Civil Society of the Euronest. He is also a member of the Delegation of Azerbaijan in the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE.

Mr. Ali Huseynov, MP

Mr. Huseynov was born in Baku in 1968. He was elected twice as member of the National Parliament of Azerbaijan (Milli Mejlis). He is also a member of the Judicial Legal Council as well as the Anti-Corruption Commission at the Governing Council of the Civil Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Mr. Huseynov is the chairman of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the Parliament of Azerbaijan and also deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
