Born in 1968 in Vienna, Ms. Bayr studied sociology and pedagogy at the University of Vienna. Ms. Bayr was very active in the youth and women’s section of her party, as well as the youth council of Austria. She also held the position of Chair of “Young Generation” of the SPÖ Vienna and was member of the Executive Board of the SPÖ Vienna. From 1996-2002 she was member of the Vienna City Council, focused on environment, urban planning and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Ulrike Lunacek is currently a Member of the European Parliament. In this position she is member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Spokesperson of the Greens/ EFA on Foreign Affairs, Rapporteur for Kosovo, Member of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence, Member of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia and Co-President of the LGBT Intergroup of the European Parliament. Furthermore she is Vice-Chair of the Green Parliamentary Group in Austria.
